PAILTON STEAM EVENT – JULY 2023
A great turn out at Pailton with 46 motorcycles in total, including riders from the Taverners Section, Midlands Section and Burton Section of the VMCC, along with the Norton Owners Club.
A good display of older bikes with Malcolm’s 1922 Coventry Eagle S293 being the oldest, alongside Mike’s 1926 Francis Barnett, Simon’s 1923 AJS M4 and Derek’s 1928 Matchless T4. David also brought the 1927 Ricardo out which Barry had a ride on!
The newest bike on display was a 2023 Royal Enfield, with everything else in between. The Best in Show award being picked up by a Triumph.
For those favouring four wheels we also had on display Peter’s Army Jeep, a Scimitar and a frogeye Sprite.
However, kids of all ages enjoyed unlimited rides in the steam boat on the lake and on the railway!
Our thanks go again to Peter for allowing us to hold this event in his garden and to everyone who turned up to make this a really memorable and special day in our calendar.
A total of £247 was raised for the local Air Ambulance.
